ESSET successfully closed the sale of the ‘Birdie’ building to Belfius Bank!

As part of its management mission for the ‘BIRDIE’ building on Avenue Jules Bordet in Evere, close to NATO, Esset Property Management, represented by its Head Of Property Management, Marc Renard, advised its main owner, Akkodis, to put the 4 lower floors up for sale. Marc Renard ‘In fact, we identified a very low occupancy rate for their office space, which led us to suggest that they relet or sell their property.’
Their Letting & Sales team, led by its Head of Pierre-Yves de Patoul, found a high-profile buyer ‘Belfius Banque’ who wanted to acquire the entire building.
Pierre-Yves de Patoul then worked with CBRE and Louis Demeestere, who had been appointed to sell the top two floors, to finalise a block sale of the ± 2,500m² building and 39 car parks.
Pierre-Yves de Patoul ‘It’s a pleasure to create new opportunities for our clients and to breathe new life into a building that was very well built almost 25 years ago’.
Belfius Banque has filed a permit to convert the lower floors into a universal branch and a Private & Wealth House. It will resell or rent out the upper floors.
Esset thanks Akkodis and Belfius Banque for their trust.
