Quares invests alongside Ethias and Moury in the largest student housing project in Belgium

Quares is investing, in collaboration with Ethias, Moury and LIFE, in the largest student housing project in Belgium, located on the Sart Tilman campus of the University of Liège. We are proud to announce that planning permission has been granted for this large-scale development.

Together with valued partners Ethias and Moury, the consortium will deliver a total of 816 rooms and studios, with 50% consisting of new-build units and 50% involving the renovation of existing buildings. The rooms will be marketed at affordable prices, with 25% of the offering reserved for social student housing. Full commercialisation and property management will be handled by Quares. The architectural designs were developed by the architecture firms UAU/Altiplan and Lemaire.

Following a competition launched in 2021 by the University of Liège, the consortium was selected to deliver the project under the DBFMO model: Design, Build/Renovate, Finance, Maintain and Operate. The project includes the existing student residences on Rue des Hômes, as well as the addition of approximately 400 new rooms.

This ambitious development, with sustainability and efficient management at its core, aims to create a modern and comfortable living environment for students.
