Esset supports Happy Hours Market in its expansion in Brussels

Esset Retail is proud to have supported Happy Hours Market in its growth in Brussels by assisting with the opening of two new “zero waste” pick-up points. These new locations reinforce the mission of this digital platform, which is dedicated to combating food waste.

Two strategically located pick-up points

To better meet the needs of platform users, Esset Retail negotiated and finalized the commercial leases for the opening of these two new locations in key areas of the capital:

  • Chaussée d’Alsemberg 749, Uccle
  • Rue De Wand 58A, Laeken

These locations, each approximately 100m², were chosen based on the number of registered users on the platform in these neighborhoods and their placement in busy shopping streets. This ensures optimal accessibility for users while maximizing the local impact of Happy Hours Market.

An efficient and responsible distribution model

Happy Hours Market operates on a click & collect system, allowing consumers to pick up their orders directly at these new pick-up points. Every morning, the company collects unsold goods from major retailers and makes them available at reduced prices, contributing to the fight against food waste while offering an economical solution for consumers.

A growing impact

According to Ludovic Libert, co-founder of Happy Hours Market:

“Every morning, Happy Hours Market collects unsold goods from major retailers and makes them available at reduced prices for people who want to save money while fighting food waste. Many large retail groups and independent stores sell their unsold products this way, generating an additional source of revenue. Today, no fewer than 10,000 households regularly shop via our 18 pick-up points in Brussels.”

With these two new locations, Happy Hours Market strengthens its presence in the capital and continues its growth in support of more sustainable consumption.

Tailored support from Esset Retail

At Esset Retail, we leverage our expertise to provide retailers with the best locations and conditions to develop their business. We are delighted to have supported Happy Hours Market in this new phase of its expansion and congratulate the entire team on this successful growth.
